BLOOMINGTON - George Edward Ortleb, 41, of 1514 E. Grove St., Bloomington, died at 11:21 a.m. Thursday (April 13, 2006) at his home.
His funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington, with Monsignor Douglas Hennessy officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with a prayer service at 6 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
He was born Dec. 31, 1964, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Charles L. "Larry" and Ruth V. Bradshaw Ortleb.
Survivors include his parents, Bloomington; four sisters, Mary (Tim) Higgins and Ruth (Don) Dittmar, both of Wichita, Kan.; Teresa "Teri" (Dean) Huitsing, St. Charles, Mo.; and Fran Kastengren, Waterford, Wis.; and five brothers, Charles Ortleb, Boston, Mass.; John (Mary) Ortleb, Broomfield, Colo.; Paul (Jan) Ortleb, Plano, Texas; Bill Ortleb, Chicago; and Walter Ortleb, Morton.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
George was a graduate of Bloomington High School and attended Western Illinois University. He was an in-home caregiver. He was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington.
George was a precious son, baby brother and uncle and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
