PONTIAC — Gloria J. Call, 78, of Pontiac, passed away at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 31, 2014) at Evenglow Lodge Tjardes Health Center, Pontiac.
Her funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac, with the Rev. Peter Zorjan officiating. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery in Cullom. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Duffy-Baier-Snedecor Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
Gloria was born Oct. 30, 1936, in Pontiac, to Robert and Harriet Phipps Claudin. She married John “Zeke” Call on Sept. 6, 1958. He passed away Aug. 24, 1994.
Survivors include sons, John Call and his life partner, Ricardo Senra, New Hope, Pa.; Jeffrey (Melany) Call, Greer, S.C.; Sgt. First Class Joseph (Candice) Call, Taylors, S.C.; daughter, Jane (Michael) Falcioni, Chicago Heights; daughter-in-law, Terese “2E” Call, Normal; grandchildren, Sgt. Jonathon (Sgt. Jocelyn) Call, Jeremy “Coty” Call, Amber Call, Billy Call and Chris Call.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and one son, James Call.
She was a graduate of Pontiac Township High School and attended Panici Beauty School in Chicago Heights. She worked as a beautician in Park Forest for 30 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Pontiac.
Gloria was a loving mother and grandmother.
