FORREST - Hal Bach, 55, of Springfield, died Monday (Aug. 21, 2006) in the emergency room at St. John's Hospital.
He was born in Forrest on Oct. 23, 1950, the son of Edward and Matilda Eggli Bach. He graduated in 1973 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor of science in animal science.
Mr. Bach retired in 1996 from the Thoms Proestler Co. as a sales representative. He was an avid bridge player and a member of the American Contract Bridge League.
Surviving are his two daughters, Lacy (Dan) Barnett of Chatham and Cara Bach of Springfield; his two brothers, Jon (Lisa) Bach of Forrest and David (Cheryl) Bach of Downs; his sister, Marlene (Joe) Watkins of Brookfield, Mo.; several nieces and nephews, as well as his former wife, Janice Bach of Springfield.
Arrangements are under the direction of Bisch & Son Funeral Home, 505 E. Allen, Springfield, where friends may call from 11 a.m. Friday until time of service there at 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Melissa Meers will officiate. Burial will follow in Farmington Cemetery at Farmingdale.
