Helen A. Jenkins, 90, of Gridley, passed away 1:20 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 31, 2017) at her home.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, El Paso, with Father John Steffen officiating. Burial will follow at Gridley Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family to assist with expenses. Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, is assisting the family with services.
Helen was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Chicago, the daughter of Stephen and Suzanne Zurich Nemet.
Surviving are four children, Dan Jenkins, Milan; Michael (Yvonne) Jenkins, Bloomington; Kevin (Cheri) Jenkins, Mackinaw; and Suzanne (Jerry) McKinsey, Gridley; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Thomas and Mark; four brothers; and one sister.
Helen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, El Paso. She was an avid Cubs fan and loved her dogs. She was a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma who always put her family first and enjoyed spending time with them.
