STREATOR - James H. Monahan, 80, of 607 S. Monroe St., Streator, died at 4:05 a.m. Monday (Feb. 27, 2006) at Heritage Manor, Streator.
Service: 10 a.m. Thursday a Mass of Christian burial at Immaculate Conception Church, Streator, Monsignor John J. Prendergast and Monsignor Edward E. Higgins officiating.
Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Streator, with full military rites conducted by Streator Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1492 and Streator Leslie G. Woods American Legion Post 217.
Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Solon, Baker & Telford Funeral Home, Streator, with a vigil service at 4 p.m. Streator Assembly 2109 Fourth Degree Members of the Knights of Columbus will post an honor guard during the visitation. Memorials: to a charity of the donor's choice.
Survivors: his wife, Eleanor Kerns Monahan; a daughter, Mary (Dwayne) Cagley, Streator; and a granddaughter.
