WASHBURN - Jay A. Foxworthy, 51, of 1787 County Road 2100N, Washburn, died at 12:34 p.m. Saturday (Dec. 31, 2005) in the emergency room at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Jan. 26, 1954, in Streator, to Jack and Bernice Johnson Foxworthy.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving is his father, with whom he made his home, and one stepsister, Barbara Foxworthy of Kansas City, Mo.

He attended and graduated from ISU in Normal.

He farmed in the Washburn area all his life.

He was a member and past president of the Marshall-Putnam Antique Association and a member of the Pontiac Thresherman's Association. He enjoyed collecting antique tractors.

He was member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Benson where a funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor William Hecht will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Knapp-Johnson-Harris Home in Roanoke.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
