DWIGHT — Jean Alice Livingston, 96, of Dwight died at 10:10 p.m. Saturday (April 30, 2011) at Heritage Manor, Dwight.
There will be no visitation.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Dwight, with the Rev. Pat Morton officiating. Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery, Dwight.
Mrs. Livingston was born Jan. 25, 1915, in Winthrop, Iowa, the daughter of Jay and Edith Roberts Osborn. She married Donald E. Livingston on Dec. 18, 1941, in Pecatonica.
She is survived by her children, Edith (deceased, Jim) Patchett, Des Moines, Iowa; James (Lee) Livingston, Dwight; Robert (Barb) Livingston, Dwight; and Mary Johnston, Des Moines, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth Moth, Pecatonica, and Helen Haughton, Pecatonica.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Don; and her brother, Hal Osborn.
Jean was educated in Pecatonica schools and attended three years of nurses training. She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospitals in Dwight and in Knoxville, Iowa, as a registered nurse for 25 years.
Jean had been a member of the First Congregational Church. She enjoyed reading and loved spending time with her family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
