BLOOMINGTON — Dr. Jennifer M. Plumb, 57, of Bloomington, died at 9:15 a.m. Monday (Jan. 5, 2015) at her home.
Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Chenoa, where visitation will be half an hour prior to the service. The Rev. Carl LoPresti will officiate. Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Chenoa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Catholic High School, attention Scott Vogel.
She was born April 4, 1957, in Kansas City, Mo., daughter of Charles Willard and Sue Sroufe Plumb. She married Douglas M. Power on Jan. 12, 2005. He preceded her in death on June 6, 2014, in Bloomington.
Surviving are one son, Thomas Plumb, West Chester, Pa.; and one sister, Susan (James) Gilbert, Houston, Texas.
She graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City Medical School in 1980 with her doctorate. She last worked as an emergency room physician in South Chester County, Pa.
Jennifer had a passion for reading and loved to travel. She was a loving wife, mother and sister. She will be missed but remembered for her true compassion for everyone she crossed paths with.
