BLOOMINGTON - John T. Wheeler, 46, of 1208 N. Morris Ave., Bloomington, died at 4:22 a.m. Monday (Aug. 21, 2006) at his work.
There will be a private family graveside service at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born Aug. 22, 1959, at Bloomington, to Julius and Agnes Shepherd Wheeler. He married Kathy Birckelbaw on Dec. 17, 1977, at Bloomington.
Surviving are his parents, Julius and Agnes Wheeler, Bloomington; one son, Joshua (Alicia) Wheeler, Bloomington; two daughters, Bethany (Arnulfo) Hernandez and Emily Ann Wheeler, both of Bloomington; one brother, Michael (Linda) Wheeler, Normal; one niece, Angie (Rich) Wills, Bloomington; one nephew, Jeffrey (Katie) Wheeler, West Bend, Wis.; and two great-nephews, Ben and Joe Wheeler, West Bend, Wis. Also surviving is a special friend, Marie.
John was 1977 graduate of Bloomington High School. John had worked at Cub Foods, Bloomington, for the past three years.
He was an avid golfer. He was a loving son, father, brother and uncle.
