BLOOMINGTON - Kathleen “Kathie” Lucas Reilly, 66, Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Bloomington, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday (April 3, 2006) at the Sherman Home in Phoenix, Ariz.
Her funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Bloomington, with Monsignor Douglas Hennessy officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the rosary recited at 7 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Weyrich Health Care Center, Scottsdale, Ariz.
Kathie was born March 23, 1940, in Bloomington, the daughter of Stanley J. and Mary Helen Delmar Lucas. She married Brian Reilly on July 20, 1963, in Bloomington. He survives.
Other survivors include three children, Maura (Matthew) Alvord, Minnetonka, Minn.; Michael (Kathleen) Reilly, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Amy (Richard) Trent, Gainesville, Ga.; and one grandson, Reilly Joseph Alvord.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Patricia Rapp.
Kathie graduated from Trinity High School, received her bachelor's degree in education from St. Mary's of Notre Dame and her master's degree in psychology from Miami University of Ohio.
Kathie lived a very full life, traveling the world extensively. She enjoyed volunteer work, including her time with hospice at Weyrich Health Care Center in Scottsdale, Ariz. She loved animals, especially horses. Kathie was very excited and looking forward to welcoming her second grandchild into the world.
