Kenneth D. Lindley, 85, of Minonk, passed away 4:30 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 14, 2017) at his home, closely following the love of his life to eternal rest.
Cremation rites were accorded and a memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday at United Methodist Church, Minonk, with the Rev. Kenneth L. Harris officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Friday until time of service at the church. Private family inurnment will be at Minonk Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Minonk United Methodist Church.
Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Kenneth was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Streator, a son of Austin and Rosabelle Ford Lindley. He married Sharon J. Deyo on Aug. 28, 1954, in La Crosse, Wis. They shared 63 loving years together. She preceded him in death on Oct. 23, 2017.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; son-in-law, Ricky Small; two great-grandchildren, Klayton and Maddison; and two brothers, Austin and Lyle.
Surviving are six children, Zoe Small, Wadsworth, Ohio; Jeffery (Cheryl) Lindley, Phelan, Calif.; Kevin Lindley, Minonk; Renee (John) Harris, Mattoon; Denise (Mike) Robinson, Akron, Ohio; and Neal (Shannon) Lindley, Vallejo, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; five brothers; and two sisters.
At any given moment with our dad/grandpa, he was likely to share a unique memory whether from 50 years ago or just last week, creating a special bond with each one of us.
Kenneth was a member of Minonk United Methodist Church. He farmed for over 50 years and worked for Nussbaum Trucking for 11 years. He was a member of Retired Teamsters Club 179.
