Larry W. Anderson, 75, of Bloomington, passed away 7:13 p.m. Dec. 11, 2017 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.

A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private committal service will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CISAR.

He was born July 26, 1942, in Burnt Prairie, a son of Carson and Mary I. Toombs Anderson. He married Barbara C. Dale on June 12, 1964, at Norris City.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara of Bloomington; his children, Andy (Kristin) Anderson, Normal, and Andrea (Tom) Stewart, Bloomington; and four grandchildren, Brady, Kayleigh and Lindsey Anderson and Mackenzie Stewart.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lowell "Ray" Anderson.

Larry was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

He worked for 31 years at Growmark, retiring in 2006 as manager of systems development.

Larry loved flying model airplanes and spent much of his time flying with his high school classmates, Max Taylor and Vern Musgrave. He was a member of SIRS (Sentral Illinois Radio Society), a radio control club in Bloomington.

Larry adored his family, especially his grandchildren and his beloved dog, Smokey. He will be greatly missed.
