BLOOMINGTON — Laurastine A. Koehl, 86, of Bloomington died at 4:40 p.m. Friday (May 13, 2011) at Heritage Manor, Bloomington.
A graveside memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Cemetery, Colfax. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington. Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to CISAR or to The Central Illinois Humane Society.
She was born March 8, 1925, at Colfax to Glenn C. and Gladys C. Hite Harris.
Survivors include her daughter, Terry (John) Hoffman, Bloomington; grandchildren, Kayl Hoffman, Fairbury; Samantha Hoffman, Bloomington; and Zachary (Taylor) Hoffman, Bloomington; a great-granddaughter, Emma; and a sister, Flora “Flo” Armstrong, Bloomington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Glenn Harris Jr.
While living in Fairbury, she was employed by Oak Motor Sales & Fairbury Auto Co. for several years. She was a bookkeeper for Rave Bros. Student Apts. in Normal for 10 years. Later, she ran a bookkeeping service from her home for 10 years before retiring in 1990.
