MAHOMET - LaVern Laura Louise Sullivan, 86, of Mahomet, passed away at 9 a.m. on Tuesday (June 5, 2007) at her residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday (June 7, 2007) at Morgan Memorial Home, 1304 Regency Drive West, Savoy, with the Rev. Gary Sproat officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sullivan was born on Aug. 29, 1920, in Arcola. She was the daughter of Harry and Amelia Schwipps Leffler. She married Sidney Harlan Sullivan on Oct. 28, 1939, in Covington, Ind. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 1992.
Surviving are her son-in-law, Don Hogan of Seymour; three grandchildren, Laura (Mitch) Bluhm of Atlanta, Ga.; Michael (Suzette) Hogan of Seymour; and Matthew (Stephanie) Hogan of Mahomet; seven great-grandchildren, Amber Storm of Champaign; Kathryne and Zane Stief of Seymour; Harrison, Madison and Grayson Bluhm of Atlanta, Ga.; and Annika Hogan of Mahomet; one brother, Ralph (Maxine) Leffler of Mahomet; and one sister, Gladys Drollinger of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Sandra Kay Hogan; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mrs. Sullivan worked at MiLady's Beauty Shop in Champaign for many years. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family.
