LEXINGTON - Lawrence "Larry" James Jones, 62, Portland, Ore., formerly of Lexington, died Feb. 14, 2006, at Portland after a short illness.
He was the son of Carl and Ruth Jones born on Sept. 6, 1943, in Normal. He graduated from Lexington High School. He worked at General Electric in Bloomington where he completed his tool-and-die making course and received his journeyman's card.
He married Judith A. Stauffer in Bloomington on Dec. 26, 1965. They moved to Portland in 1969. He was a tool-and-die maker for the Carlton Co.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; daughters, Patricia (Harold) MacKinnon and Carrie (Nick) Ruiz, all of Portland; brother, Robert (Simone) Jones, Lexington; sisters, Carolyn Collins, LeRoy, and Linda (Marshall) Stone, Normal. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald, Jan. 9, 2006.
A service will be later. Arrangements are by Hillside, Portland, Ore.
