NORMAL - Lenora F. Spratt, 87, of Normal, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (Feb. 8, 2006). A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal, with a one hour prior visitation at 10 a.m. also at the church. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on March 16, 1918, in Monticello, Mo., to John W. and Ola Ann Schmidt Raleigh. They preceded her. She married James "Pete" E. Spratt on Jan. 13, 1942, in Monticello, Mo. He preceded her on July 20, 1995.
Surviving are one daughter, Joyce (Kenneth) Price, Bloomington; one son, Dennis (Micki) Spratt, Bloomington; and four grandchildren, Lindsay (Jeremy) Jones, Champaign; and Jonathan Spratt, Kerri (Shane) Miles and Jamie Lewis, all of Bloomington. Also surviving are three sisters, Virginia Broy, Morton; Mary L. Harris, Normal; and Geneva Pratt, Mobile, Ala.
She was preceded by two sisters, Teresa Bramlett and Julia Rose Heibreder; and two brothers Joseph Raleigh and Paul Raleigh.
Lenora worked on the packaging line at Beer Nuts. She was a member of the Epiphany Catholic Church. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening at her home. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and sisters. She was a loving mother, grandmother and will be deeply missed by all.
