MAHOMET - Leo E. Hall, 78, of Mahomet, passed away at 5:40 p.m. Thursday (Nov. 9, 2006) at his residence.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church, Mansfield, with Pastor Sharon Monroe officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery, Mansfield, with military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, 202 E. Oliver, Mansfield. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Mr. Hall was born Oct. 28, 1928, at Tuscola, a son of Alva and Dora Brown Hall. He married Mary L. Lanier Sept. 29, 1989 in Urbana.
He is survived by wife, Mary L. Hall of Mahomet; five sons, Gary Hall and Terry Hall, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mark (Norma) Hall of Roberts; Donald (Barbara) Hall of Forrest; and Jeff Hall of Fisher; one stepson, Mark Bodle of Oxford, Mich.; one stepdaughter, Chris (Larry) Friant of Forrest; 17 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; one brother, Alfred (Carolyn) Hall of West Lafayette, Ind.; and one sister, Dorothy Otto of Tuscola.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, two brothers and one sister.
Mr. Hall had been a agent, telegrapher and leverman for the Wabash Railroad, N&W Railroad and N&S Railroad for 37 years. He was a Army veteran of the Korean conflict serving from 1954-1956 and member of Kelso M. Garver Post 650 American Legion, Mansfield.
