CLINTON - Leona M. Walden, 84, of Clinton died at 11:22 p.m. Friday (Feb. 10, 2006) at her family residence.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, J. Kent Hickerson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to DMH Hospice or Cancer Society.
She was born April 19, 1921, in Clinton, a daughter of Edward and Ina Belle Warner Chandler. She married Clifford Burge in 1937 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He passed away Feb. 12, 1989. She later married Robert Walden on Aug. 20, 1990, in Bloomington. He survives.
Also surviving are two children, Mary (Wilbur) Dile, Clinton, and Marilyn Thomas, Las Vegas, Nev.; one stepson, Robert (Diane) Walden, Bloomington; one sister, Frances Evans, Wapella; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Larry Burge, in 1991; two sisters; four brothers; one great-grandchild; and one stepdaughter, Tina Rothenburger.
She was affiliated with Shiloh EUB church.
She was a past member of Eagles Lodge, Clinton.
