NORMAL — Linda Diana Beebe, 67, of Normal passed away at 12:38 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 31, 2014) at Sugar Creek Alzheimer Special Care Center, Normal.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 10 at First Christian Church Francesville, 192 East Lyman St., Francesville, Ind. James Ketchen will be officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, Ind. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Jan. 10 prior to the service at the church. The family suggests memorials be made to Sugar Creek Alzheimer Special Care Center, Normal, or to a charity of donor’s choice. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
Linda was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Spring Valley, the daughter of Robert W. and Sylvia I. Lewis Huffstodt. She married Bobby “Bob” Dever on July 20, 1963, in Princeton.
She later married Donald Smith on Nov. 20, 1976, in Princeton. He died Sept. 10, 1998. She then married Gerald “Jerry” Beebe on June 23, 2001, in Tracy, Iowa. He died Feb. 22, 2009.
Surviving are three children, Richard “Rick” (Pat) Dever, Bowling Green, Ky.; Christine “Chris” (Mike) Skaggs, Normal; Matthew “Matt” (Heather) Smith, Beckley, W. Va.; six grandchildren, Jacob (Britany) Schuster, Hannibal, Mo.; Hannah N. Skaggs, Normal; Christopher Smith, Beckley, W. Va.; Leanna Smith, Beckley, W. Va.; Justin Smith, Beckley, W. Va.; Imogen Smith, Beckley, W. Va.; one great-grandson, Kaden Tyler Schuster, Hannibal, Mo.; three brothers, Rick (June) Sterling, Illinois; Robert (Janet) Huffstodt, Valparaiso, Ind.; and Tim Sterling, Michigan.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Bob Sterling; and great-grandson, Koda Thomas Schuster.
Linda was a homemaker. She had lived in Wyanet, later moved to Princeton, Francesville, Ind., and then to Tracy, Iowa, and most recently she had lived with her daughter Chris and son-in-law Mike in Normal.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family. She had been a very active member at the First Christian Church Francesville, Ind., and most recently she was a member of Eastview Christian Church, Normal. Linda enjoyed reading and shopping. She will be missed by all who knew her.
