ELLSWORTH — Marilyn M. Leary, 85, Ellsworth, passed away at 4:25 a.m. Friday (May 13, 2011) at LeRoy Manor Nursing Home, LeRoy.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. The Rev. Janice Ringenberg and Dave O’Neal will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the memorial home.
The family suggests memorials be made to Ellsworth United Methodist Church, Ellsworth.
Marilyn was born Jan. 31, 1926, in Bloomington, the daughter of Clyde F. and Daisy Marie Turner Stanger. She married Warren Leary on June 9, 1951, in Merna. He survives.
Also surviving are one brother, Delmar (Janiece) Stanger, Downs; and brother-in-law, Elmo Epperson, Arrowsmith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Turner Stanger; and three sisters, Charlotte Stanger, Eloise Epperson and Alma Jean Lauritson.
Marilyn was a member of Ellsworth United Methodist Church, Ellsworth, and the Ellsworth American Legion Auxiliary. Marilyn had retired from Ellsworth Grain.
