HOOPESTON - Marion Elizabeth Odle, 91, Hoopeston, died at 5:50 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 25, 2006) at her daughter, Shirley Cunningham's residence in Bonifay, Fla.
She was born Feb. 16, 1915, at Wellington, to William and Cora Newman Hodge. She married Raymond Floyd Odle on April 2, 1936, at Wellington. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 1986.
Other survivors are two daughters, Shirley (Sam) Cunningham, Bonifay, Fla.; and Linda (Dan) Sambenedetto, Niceville, Fla.; one son, Raymond Kevin (Tina) Odle, Kankakee; one brother, Ted (Louise) Hodge, Wellington. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin children, Eugene and Katherine; and a grandson, Sammy Cunningham Jr.
Mrs. Odle resided in Hoopeston for nearly 50 years. She was a very active member of the First Baptist Church in Hoopeston. She was proud to be a homemaker doing all home duties. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very proud of her personal relationship with the Lord.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 323 E. Seminary Ave., Hoopeston, with the Rev. Steven C. Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, Hoopeston. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hamilton-Orr Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston.Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Hoopeston or the American Cancer Society.
