EL PASO - Marion F. "Bus" Leenhouts, 92, of 555 E. Clay St., El Paso, passed away at 4:20 a.m. Monday (Nov. 28, 2005) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, EL Paso.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, El Paso. Father Stanislaus Mutajwaha will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, El Paso. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home, El Paso. Memorial contributions may be offered in the form of Masses or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Marion was born June 15, 1913, at Barnes, a son of Marion J. and Winifred Kindred Leenhouts. He married Hilda Barnes. She preceded him in death in November 1987.
Survivors include his son, Fred Leenhouts, St. Petersburg, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Leenhouts, St. Petersburg, Fla.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two nieces, Judy (Bruce) VonNordheim, Benson, and Marianne Fewell, Minonk; and one nephew, John (Gloria) McGough, Rutland.
One sister, Mary McGough, also preceded him in death.
"Bus" was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, El Paso. He owned and operated Leenhouts TV and Repair in El Paso prior to his retirement. He also worked at El Paso Country Club.
He was a lover of the game of golf, he had two holes in one on the third hole within a 15-day period at the El Paso Country Club golf course in 1963. He also enjoyed fishing and was an avid Cubs fan.
