ATLANTA — Mary Louise Goodin, 85, of Rochester, formerly of Atlanta, passed away Tuesday (Dec. 30, 2014) at her home.
She was born Sept. 27, 1929, in Atlanta, the daughter of George and Goldie Miller Williams. She married Lloyd Goodin; he preceded her in death in 2002.
She was a member of South Fork Church of Christ and was an operator for General Telephone in Bloomington. She then worked at the Atlanta Library and for Dick and Mary Johnson on their chicken farm as a housekeeper and nanny for years. She later worked at Illinois Agricultural Association, where she retired. Mary then spent time volunteering at Memorial Medical Center Baylis Building Day Surgery.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by one daughter, Penny (Neil) Passfield, Rochester; and two grandsons, Aaron (fiancé, Ashley) Passfield, Hudson; and Seth (Amber) Passfield, Terre Haute, Ind.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Atlanta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to South Fork Church of Christ, The Animal Protective League or Rochester Library.
