BLOOMINGTON - Mary C. Hauskins, 84, of 1403 W. Miller St., Bloomington, died at 9:22 a.m. Saturday (April 15, 2006) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Deo Grantias Kiwanuka officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's School.
She was born Feb. 13, 1922, in Amboy, the daughter of Roy and Rosemary Sharkey Powers.
Survivors include two daughters, Patty (Michael) West and Connie (Bud) Kelley, both of Bloomington; two sons, James F. Hauskins, Bloomington, and Bill Hauskins, Glenwood Springs, Colo.; two sisters, Rosemary (John) Phelps, Lee Center, and Rita Wilson, Bloomington; two brothers, James (Elaine) Powers and Joe (Elaine) Powers, both of Amboy; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a special nephew, Jerry (Mary) Wilson, Jacksonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.
Mary was a well known waitress in the area, working at Tobin's Ranch House Restaurant in Bloomington. Mary also worked for Automatic Tape Control in Bloomington, before transferring to the Harris Corp. in Quincy, where she worked for 30 years, retiring in 1987.
Mary was a member of St. Mary's Church in Bloomington.
