BLOOMINGTON — Mary Lou Fornoff, 82, of Bloomington, passed away Thursday (Jan. 1, 2015) at Martin Health Center, Bloomington.
Her service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bloomington, with the Rev. Christine McNeal officiating. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Lakeside Cemetery, Pekin. Visitation will be hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church. Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements.
Mary Lou was born Sept. 17, 1932, in Pekin, the daughter of Frederich L. and Annie Deakin Fornoff.
She is survived by a niece, Kathy (Brian) Redmon, Springfield; and a nephew, Greg (Patty) Fornoff, Bartlett. Also surviving are a great-nephew, Jonathon Fornoff; great-nieces, Kathryn Fornoff and Genevieve and Julianna Redmon; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis (Fornoff) Matthews, Pekin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John.
Mary Lou worked for Growmark for 45 years, retiring in 1997 as an executive assistant.
She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, St. John’s Women and its Abigail Circle, a volunteer and lifetime member of BroMenn Hospital Service Auxiliary and a former member and past president of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce Women’s Division.
