Mary “Louise” Clark, 91, of Normal, passed away 12:09 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 13, 2017) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. The Dr. Rev. Adrian Lamkin will officiate. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the memorial home. Interment will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.
Louise was born April 28, 1926, in Marion, to Troy and Jewell Mouser Phillips. She married Robert Clark on Nov. 28, 1946, in Bloomington. He passed away July 26, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Troy Phillips, Lenora Leicht, Robert Phillips and Janetta Schuler, and one daughter-in-law, Tami Clark.
She is survived by two sons, Greg (Gerti) Clark, Bloomington, and Paul Clark, Bloomington; five grandchildren, Melissa (Paul) Scherr, Troy (Haley) Clark, Adam Clark, Laura Clark and Sara (Jeff) Mayer; and three great-grandchildren, Emma Mayer, Allison Scherr and Parker Scherr.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Bloomington and was involved in the American Passion Play for more than 30 years. She retired in 2001 from State Farm after 38 years of service. Louise was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Normal.
We'll all miss her Christmas cookies and peanut brittle.
