BLOOMINGTON -Mildred M. Hamman, 97, ManorCare Health Services, Peoria, formerly Bloomington, died at 9:25 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 22, 2005) at ManorCare Health Services.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the Rev. Roane Deckert officiating. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at the memorial home.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Research or to a charity of the donor's choice.

She was born June 7, 1908, at Wapella, a daughter of Menno and Lucinda Ives Mastin. She married Roy C. Hamman on Jan. 1, 1941, at Fairbury. He died Feb. 10, 1994.
Surviving are one son, John (Dawn) Hamman, Peoria; and two grandchildren, Robin (Agnieszka) Hamman and Lindsay Hamman.
Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mildred had attended Second Presbyterian Church, Bloomington. She was a graduate of Illinois State Normal University. She was an elementary school teacher. She taught at Wapella, Chenoa and Pontiac schools, and later taught kindergarten at Oakland School in Bloomington from 1958-1974.
