MORTON - Wilhelmine Charlotte "Minnie" Schlipf Glueck, 101, Morton, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday (April 3, 2008) at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.

She was born Dec. 18, 1906, in Gridley, daughter of Wilhelm Heinrich "Willie" and Rose Emma Messer Schlipf. She married Karl Eugene Glueck on March 24, 1935, in Deer Creek. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1983. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel, Ezra and William Schlipf; one sister, Marie Schlipf; two half sisters, Anna Hartter and Rose Vierling; and three half brothers, Benjamin, Christian J. and Elmer D. Baer.

Surviving are one daughter, Rose F. Glueck, Morton; three sons, Karl C. (Velda) Glueck, Tremont; William A. (Debra) Glueck, Morton; and Frederick E. (Diana) Glueck, Metamora; 10 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and one half sister, Martha Vance, Morton.

Minnie was bookkeeper for 47 years for the Morton Blacksmith Shop that she and her husband owned. In her early teen years, she worked as a dairy maid in Deer Creek for her parents.

She was a member of the Morton Apostolic Christian Church, where her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, with church ministers officiating. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home, Morton, and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be at the Morton Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Timber Ridge, Apostolic Christian Restmor, both in Morton, or to the Morton Apostolic Christian Church.
