CISSNA PARK — Myrtle C. Schupbach, 97, of Cissna Park died at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday (May 3, 2011) at Hoopeston Nursing Home.
Her funeral will be at
1 p.m. Tuesday at Christian Bible Church, Cissna Park, with the Rev. Bud Pederson and the Rev. Herbert Flinkman officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Cissna Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Knapp Funeral Home, Cissna Park.
Memorials may be made to Christian Bible Church, Carle Hospice or donor’s choice.
She was born June 1, 1913, in Kawkawlin, Mich., to James and Margretta Lasher Shaver. She married George Albert Schupbach on Dec. 4, 1947, in Springfield. He died July 31, 1997.
Surviving are one son, Gerald (Claire) Schupbach, Jacksonville, Fla.; one daughter, Pattie (Walter) Strobel, Corpus Christi, Texas; three grandchildren, Jennifer Adkins, Dawn (Jeff) Johnson and Bradley (Brook) Schupbach; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Her parents, two brothers and six sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of Christian Bible Church in Cissna Park. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and was a former 4-H and Cub Scout leader.
