Nina Marie Liming, 89, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:35 p.m. Friday (Dec. 1, 2017) at Heartland Health Care Center, Normal.
Her graveside service will be 11:15 a.m. Friday at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. The Rev. Thomas Wirsing will officiate. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington, is handling arrangements.
Nina was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Sedalia, Mo., to Lewis Estil and Ruth Sibbles Fisher. She married Merle Liming on May 24, 1953, in El Paso. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1987. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Clyde, Lawrence and Wilber.
Nina is survived by two children, Susan (Phil) Nevels, Bloomington, and Steve (Sue) Liming, Normal; seven grandchildren, Phillip, Aaron, Melissa, Wendy, Josh, Zach and Patrick; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bloomington. She retired from Hallmark after 16 years of service as a salesperson. Nina was a kind and gentle woman and a loving mother and grandmother. Christmas won’t be the same without her cookies and fudge.
