Norman Hanford, 71, of Leesburg, Ind., passed away Monday (Nov. 6, 2017) in Warsaw, Ind.
He was born Sept. 25, 1946, in Thawville, to Gus and Mary Grevenstuk Hanford.
He graduated in 1964 from Roberts-Thawville High School and in 1972 from Eastern Illinois University. He was a Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He married Barbara Reep on May 18, 1969, in Paxton. She survives. He moved to Leesburg, Ind., in 1988, from St. Louis, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hanford, Leesburg, Ind.; daughter, Emily (Bill) Christian, Milford, Ind.; son, Steven (Kathleen) Hanford, Columbia City, Ind.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Everett and Vernon Hanford.
Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster, Ind. His funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Ridgeland Township Cemetery.
