BLOOMINGTON - Norman Price Sr., 84, Bloomington, died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday (June 10, 2007) at Manor Care, Normal.
His graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington, with Pastor Adam Sikorski officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Beck Memorial Home, Bloomington.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born Aug. 6, 1922, at Ellsworth, son of Emory E. and Mary Retta Lovins Price. He married Dorothy Bass on June 14, 1941, at Palmyra, Mo. She passed away April 12, 2001.
Surviving are daughters, Nancy (Brian) Swanton, Grand Rapids, Mich., and Deborah (Michael) Schwarz, Fountain, Minn.; son, Norman (Betty) Price Jr., Thornfield, Mo.; sisters, Juanita Kummer, Bradenton, Fla., and Shirley (Louis) DeVault, Shirley; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
Mr. Price served in the Army during World War II, during which time he was a prisoner of war. He was a carpenter with the Carpenters Union Local 63.
Norman was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. He was a devoted grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. He will be sadly missed by all his friends and family.
