NORMAL — Paula J. Strobel, 70, of Normal passed away Thursday (Nov. 24, 2016), in her home.
Paula was the daughter of Paul and Bernice Blust Moore. She grew up in Lima, Ohio, where she graduated from Lima Central Catholic High School. She met Edward Strobel when she was working as a photographer for his brother’s wedding, and a year and half later, they were married on April 1, 1967. He survives.
Family was the most important thing to Paula. She loved attending all of the grandchildren’s events and performances. She also loved to travel. She and Ed traveled to many great locations, including all but three of the Major League Baseball stadiums. Her favorite teams were the Cubs and White Sox.
In her spare time, she loved to read and watch her favorite shows on TV, including cooking shows, Downton Abbey and Dancing with the Stars.
She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Ed; her loving children, Eric (Irva) Strobel, Alexandria, Va.; Paul (Tamara) Strobel, Estacada, Oregon; Brian (Alice) Strobel, Yorkville; Michelle (Pete) Hrubesky, Normal; and Heather (Ed) Berkheimer, Barnhart, Mo.; and her loving grandchildren, Sam, Ben and Hannah Strobel, Rachel and Natalie Strobel, Elvicha Joy Strobel, Eddie, Emily and Tom Berkheimer, and Kaylee and Kenzie Hrubesky.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
