DWIGHT — Phyllis Diemer, 93, Dwight, died at 7:52 a.m. Monday (May 16, 2011) at Heritage Woods, Dwight, where she resided.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Dwight, with the Rev. Daniel Ognoskie officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service Friday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, Dwight. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hager Memorial Home, Dwight.

Mrs. Diemer was born Dec. 20, 1917, in Nevada Township, rural Dwight, the daughter of John M. and Elsie Metzke Corcoran. She married Jacob Diemer on Dec. 14, 1940, in Streator. He passed away June 4, 2010.
She is survived by her son, Alan (Paula) Diemer, Summerfield, Fla.; grandson, Jack (Janet) Diemer, Overland Park, Kan.; and great-grandchildren, Jacob “Jake” III and Annie Diemer, Overland Park, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jake; and her sister, Dorothy Osborn.
She attended Scott Grade School in Grundy County and was a 1935 graduate of Dwight Township High School.
Phyllis was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Dwight, and Livingston County Home Extension.
