EL PASO — Phyllis M. Hanna, 87, of El Paso, passed away at 10:56 a.m. Saturday (April 8, 2017) at Heritage Health, El Paso.
Cremation rites were accorded. Her memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in El Paso with the Rev. Dr. Tim Smith officiating. Private inurnment will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery, El Paso.
Calvert-Johnson & Froelich Memorial Home, El Paso, is assisting the family with services. The family requests no flowers, and memorials may be made to the church or the El Paso Ambulance.
Phyllis was born July 9, 1929, in Rhinelander, Wis., the daughter of Hjalmar and Gladys Oberg Osterberg Sr. She married Robert C. Hanna Sr. on Dec. 5, 1950, in Toluca. He died Nov. 23, 2015.
Surviving are one son, Robert C. Hanna Jr., El Paso; one daughter, Patricia (Rick) O’Brien, Crystal Falls, Mich.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Hjalmar Osterberg Jr., Tomahawk, Wis., and Jerry (Jan) Osterberg, Conover, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters.
Phyllis was a member of the First Baptist Church, El Paso, for 62 years.
