LeROY - Rebecca Ruth "Becky" McCain, 65, LeRoy, passed away at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday (April 14, 2009) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at LeRoy Christian Church, LeRoy. Tim Vollstedt, minister, will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richard Kelley. Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, LeRoy, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. McCain was born April 8, 1944, in Kokomo, Ind., daughter of John and Neva Myers Slusher. She married James Umbaugh on Jan. 20, 1962, in Breman, Ind. They divorced in 1971.
Survivors include her parents of Kokomo, Ind.; her companion, Richard Kelley, LeRoy; two daughters, Suzanne and Steven Archer, Kokomo, Ind., and Stacey Umbaugh and her companion, Rodney Roe, Kiln, Miss.; four grandchildren, Branden Archer and his companion, Jenny Guge, Kokomo, Ind; Jeremy Umbaugh, Kiln, Miss.; Victor Umbaugh, Todd and Keli Patrick, all of Gulfport, Miss.; and Becky's siblings, Barbara McCall, Bradenton, Fla.; Mike Slusher and his companion, Stephanie Adamson, and Rachel Hill and her companion, Robert Willis, all of Kokomo, Ind.; Paul and Linda DePalma, Vancouver, Wash.; and Kathy DePalma, Winnemucca, Nev.; and her best friend and sister, Barbara and Wayne Brake, LeRoy.
Also surviving are several aunts and uncles, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Slusher; and one grandson, Judge Archer.
She was a member of women of the Moose 745, Bloomington.
