MORRIS — Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Rich Skelton, 43, Morris, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning (May 14, 2011) in her home.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at 7 p.m. at U.C. Davis & Sons Funeral Home Ltd., Morris, with Dr. Charles Richardson officiating. Following the service, cremation rites will be accorded. Private family inurnment will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris.
Preferred form of remembrance would be memorial gifts to Saratoga Towers or the Morris Community High School band program.
She was born Sept. 25, 1967, in Honolulu, Hawaii, the daughter of Lyndon H. and Linda Etheridge Rich. She graduated from Morris Community High School with the Class of 1985. Becky married Charles D. Skelton on June 20, 1986, in Morris.
She was employed by the Wal-Mart store in Morris for several years and served as the manager in the bakery.
She was an avid scrapbooker, loved to cross-stitch, collect knickknacks, and spend time with her family especially her grandsons.
She attended the First Christian Church in Morris; was a member of the Morris Lions Club; and former member and senior regent of the Women of the Moose.
Surviving are her three children, Christopher A. (Kortney) Skelton, Morris; Katy L. Skelton, Oglesby; and Adam C. Skelton, Morris; two grandsons, Joel and Josem; parents, Linda and Lyndon Rich, Normal; special friend, Ryan Howe, Morris; one brother, Mike Rich, North Charleston, S.C.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded by maternal and paternal grandparents.
