FARMER CITY — Robert J. Kirby, 64, Farmer City, passed away at 12:11 p.m. Monday (Nov. 25, 2013) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Visitation will be from 10 to noon Sunday at Joe Williams American Legion Post 55, Farmer City. A memorial service will be at noon, also at the Legion. Inurnment will follow in Bellflower Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the family. Calvert-Belangee Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, is in charge of arrangements.

Robert was born Dec. 23, 1948, in Monticello, son of Thomas Edward and Mary Elsie Denney Kirby. He married Judy Lane on Dec. 23, 1999, in Farmer City. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Brian (Holly) Kirby, Paxton; one daughter, Bobbi Jo Henry, LeRoy; stepchildren, Tricia, Toby and Tom Ester and family; grandchildren, Justin, Cody and Robert Underwood and Regan Henry; great-grandchildren, Caldin Thomas and Cale Underwood; one brother, Jim (Phyllis) Kirby, Missouri; and three sisters, Loretta (Lloyd) Massey, Illinois; Noreen (John) Epley, Arkansas; and Sharon (Don) Brown, Texas.
Robert was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 55, Farmer City. He worked as a truck driver for Dean Baker Trucking for many years.
