EUREKA — Roberta R. “Bert” Kennell, 82, of Eureka, passed away at 7:44 p.m. Tuesday (April 4, 2017) at Apostolic Christian Home, Roanoke.
She was born May 24, 1934, in Eureka, to Ray and Ada (Keller) Reber. She married Lyle A. Kennell on May 8, 1953, at the farm in Lowpoint. He passed away on Feb. 13, 2017.
Surviving are her children, Arthur L. (Shirley) Kennell, Roanoke; Andrew L. Kennell, Wenona; Arnold L. Kennell, Benson; Amy L. (Shane) Barnett, Hanna City; and Thomas A. Kennell, Eureka; grandchildren, Rachel (Rich) Dickinson, Anna (Kevin) Peters, Joshua Kennell, Jason (Kaci) Kennell, Katelyn Barnett and Maccrae Barnett; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Marge Schrader, Germantown Hills. She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Roberta attended Living Faith Fellowship Church, Eureka. She was a hard worker while raising the kids. Roberta volunteered for Eureka Et Cetera Thrift Shop for over 20 years. She enjoyed quilting and visiting with friends.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Roanoke Mennonite Church with pastors Bryan Miller, Brett Woerner and Dennis Kennell officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel, and one hour prior to her service at the church. Burial will be in Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Living Faith Fellowship Church Building Fund or Roanoke Mennonite Church.
