JOLIET — Ronald Price, 70, of Joliet, died Friday morning (April 21, 2017) in Joliet.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; daughters, Amy and Mary Beth; sister, Shirley Castillo; and brother, Larry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Phoebe, and siblings Homer, David, Mary Lou and Robert.

In addition to his immediate family members, he leaves behind many in-laws, one aunt, lots of nieces, nephews, cousins and literally hundreds of friends, especially the Norman Sizemore family.

Ron was an accomplished musician and a highly skilled welder, pipe fitter, truck driver, heavy equipment operator, licensed electrician and licensed plumber. He knew how things worked and could fix anything from cars and trucks to radios and TVs. He never hesitated to use these skills to help those in need, often late at night when someone was broken down on the highway, and with no thought of getting paid.

Ron was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and no doubt would say that his voluntary service as an elder, ministerial servant and pioneer in various congregations in Central Illinois and the Joliet area brought him the most satisfaction. His service in this part of his life impacted more people than can be counted. He will be sorely missed.

Visitation will be 2 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday with memorial talk immediately following at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15827 S. Frederick Ave., Plainfield. Note: Due to limited parking, please carpool if possible.
