NORMAL — Ruth Agnes Kelley, 92, Normal, formerly of Heyworth, passed away at 6:08 p.m. Thursday (May 27, 2010) at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.
Her funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington. Monsignor Doug Hennessy will officiate. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington; The American Cancer Society; or Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington.
Ruth was born Sept. 19, 1917, in McLean, the daughter of Shelby and Flagie Logsdon Grant. She married Everett L. Kelley on June 17, 1939, in Decatur. He died April 1988.
Surviving are 10 children, John (Nancy) Kelly, El Paso; Rod (Mary Ann) Kelly, Austin, Texas; Jim (Rita) Kelly, Gridley; Betty (Judd) Stover, Towanda; Judi (Matt) Perkins, Mobile, Ala.; JoAnn (Manny) Moslemi, Stillwater, Minn.; Peg (Jack) Iseminger, Chesapeake, Va.; Pat (Rob) Glenn, Layton, Utah; Tim (Sally) Kelly, Downers Grove; and Joe (Sheila) Kelly, Newport News, Va.; two sisters, Lena Bea Bowen, Saybrook, and Marjorie Schwarzlose, Bloomington; one brother, Marshall (Trudy) Grant, Rothville, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; and 51 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one infant son, four brothers and three sisters.
Ruth was a devout Catholic. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bloomington.
Ruth had retired from Eureka Williams Co., Bloomington. She was a member of Lodge 1000, Bloomington; Golden Agers; and Young at Heart, Heyworth.
Ruth enjoyed crocheting and ceramics.
