LEROY -Sharon Thompson Caldanaro of Raleigh, N.C., passed away Tuesday (Dec. 20, 2005) in Raleigh, N.C.
She was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Mrs. Caldanaro lived in LeRoy during the 1970s and moved to Findlay, Ohio, where she lived from 1978 to 1999.
Mrs. Caldanaro was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony (Tony) Caldanaro and her father, Derald Thompson.
She is survived by her mother, Bernice Thompson, Spirit Lake, Iowa; her brother, Duane (Jean) Thompson, Iowa; two sons, Anthony John Caldanaro Jr. and his significant other, Bosiljka Glumac, their children, Alexandar and Yelena Caldanaro, all of Massachusetts; and Jon Joseph Caldanaro, Durham, N.C.; and daughter, Regina "Gina" Caldanaro, Raleigh, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would also like to acknowledge and thank Deb Walterbusch, who lived with and helped care for Sharon.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, N.C. A separate visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay, Ohio.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Findlay, Ohio, where burial will follow. Lunch will be served at the Knights of Columbus Hall afterwards.
