CARLOCK — Stephen K. Grunwald, 85, of Carlock, passed away at 1:23 p.m. Jan. 16, 2015, at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
His Mass of Christian burial was offered Thursday at St. Stanislaus Church, Maspeth, N.Y., followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, N.Y. Memorials may be made to Pets Without Parents, P.O. Box 166, Easton, IL 62633. Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home, Bloomington, assisted the family with arrangements.
Stephen was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Grajewo, Poland, a son of Szczepan and Josephine Szymanski Grunwald. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen S. Grunwald.
He is survived by a daughter, Jeanette (Stephen) Stewart of Carlock.
Preceding him in death was a son, Stephen M. Grunwald.
Stephen was a U.S. Army veteran who proudly served during the Korean conflict.
