FT. MYERS BEACH, Fla. — Teri Lynn Linskey, 71, of Ft. Myers Beach, Fla., died Tuesday (April 11, 2017) unexpectedly, but peacefully at her home.

There will be a private family memorial in Florida, with a Celebration of Life in the coming months in Illinois. Teri had friends far and wide, and all will be welcomed and invited to take part once the family finalizes details.

Teri was born in Pontiac to Richard and Donna Green on Aug. 13, 1945. She went to school at Pontiac Township High School and worked a majority of her career at State Farm Insurance in Bloomington. She was a member of the Church of the Ascension, Ft. Myers Beach, Fla.

Teri was preceded in death by her parents, Dick and Donna Green; grandparents, Mabel and Dorsey McCutcheon, Anna Green and her beloved grandfather, Scotty Green.

Teri is survived by her children, Timothy (Zoe) Linskey of Chandler, Ariz., Kelly Linskey-Johnson of Ft. Myers, Fla., and John Linskey of Viola. Teri often said her children were a blessing, but her grandkids were a reward. Her grandchildren are Riley and Avery Johnson (Kelly), Kamryn and Delaney (John) and Timothy and Richard (Timothy). She is also survived by her best friend and sister, Sondra Ankenbruck.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Paz de Cristo, 424 W Broadway Road, Mesa, AZ 85210. In the memo line please include Teri Linskey Memorial or through their website: https://pazdecristo.org/?page_id=222, and include her name in the tribute line. Funds support Paz de Cristo mission to feed, clothe, and empower those in need. Teri loved the Chicago Cubs her entire life and one of her favorite parts of spring training in Arizona was the Cubs Wives Fundraiser benefiting this organization.

Teri’s family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all who have reached out with comforting words and loving stories about her full and active life. They would also like to thank the Chicago Cubs for the joyful tears Teri shed when they finally did it in 2016.
