GRIDLEY - Toni Wallin, 51, of rural Gridley was called home to be with the Lord at 3:35 p.m. (Jan. 6, 2006) from BroMenn Regional Medical Center after a long illness. She had been surrounded by her family and friends over the last few days.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Friends may call from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at North Bridge Baptist Church, 2413 Ziebarth Road, Normal, IL, with a celebration of life service to follow at 5 p.m.

Mrs. Wallin was born Feb. 28, 1954, at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul, the daughter of Richard A. and Sandra Kresin Benecke.

Mrs. Wallin is survived by her amazingly dedicated and beloved husband, Harold C. Wallin Jr., whom she married Sept. 28, 1973, in Watertown, S. D.Also surviving are three children, Conrad (Brandy) Wallin of Goodfield; Christopher (Elaina) Wallin of Monticello, Minn.; and Contisa (Dan) Jacobs of El Paso; two sisters, Glenna Briner of Roswell, Ga.; and Rickielee (Jeff) Pelo of Downs; two brothers, Edward (Pricilla) Stephens of Effingham; and William (Kendra) Benecke of Carmell, Ind.; her mother, Sandra Benecke of Gridley; 12 grandchildren, Brandon Wallin; Conrad Wallin; Jamie Wallin; Kurtis Wallin; Logan Wallin; Ethan Wallin; Kylie Wallin (soon to be born granddaughter); Christopher Wallin; Garett Wallin; Jensen Wallin; Joseph Jacobs; Brent Jacobs, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wallin was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

Mrs. Wallin was a homemaker. She enjoyed loving and caring for her family. She will be missed by everyone she touched with her kindness and love.

In order to fulfill one of Toni's final wishes, money that would be spent on flowers/plants would be more beneficial if deposited into the Toni Wallin Memorial Fund at any CEFCU to help with the cost of medical and memorial service costs. Checks may be made out to CEFCU, on the memo line please note Toni Wallin Memorial Fund. These may be mailed to 2323 E. Empire St., Bloomington, IL 61704 or dropped off at any CEFCU location.
