WAYNESVILLE - Mrs. Vicki L. Garner, 56, of Waynesville passed away at 9:25 a.m. Saturday (June 16, 2007) at her home.
A memorial service for Mrs. Garner will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Quiram Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta, with Mr. Andy Glass officiating.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
Memorials may be made to the Waynesville Fire and Rescue Department.
Surviving Mrs. Garner are her husband of 38 years, William E. "Bill" Garner Jr. of Waynesville; two daughters, Tracy Garner Vanover of Mason City, and Kelly Garner of Waynesville; two sons, Billy (Renee') Garner of Lincoln, and Toby (Dawn) Garner of Waynesville; eight grandchildren; her mother, Elizabeth Martin of Lincoln; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, William E. and Luella Mae Garner Sr. of Easton; four brothers, Don (April) Martin of Lincoln, Lloyd "Clem" (Valerie) Martin of Waynesville, Brad (Ingrid) Martin of San Jose, and Jimmy McGrady of Lincoln; and three sisters, Penny (Jimmy) Vannoy of Lincoln, Sandy Beck of Pekin, and Becky Lash of Pekin.
Mrs. Garner was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and one sister.
Mrs. Martin was born on Feb. 25, 1951, in Peoria, the daughter of Lloyd and Elizabeth Behrends Martin Sr. She married William E. Garner Jr. on Sept. 28, 1968, at the Emden Christian Church in Emden. He survives.
Mrs. Garner was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
