MACKINAW - Warren B. “Bill” Reel, 85, Mackinaw, died at 3:33 a.m. Friday (Feb. 17, 2006) at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

He was born Nov. 3, 1920, in Congerville, the son of William and Eva Zook Reel. He married Arlene Rodewald. She survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Judith Sutherland, Arkansas; Betty Cooper, Peoria; Wanda Losh, Elmwood; and Lucille Larkins, Jonesboro, Ark.; one son, David Hamilton, Mackinaw; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Orvetta White, Congerville. Bill was preceded in death by one son and one grandchild.

Bill was a World War II Army veteran. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. for over 31 years, retiring as a wielder. He was a member of American Legion Post 466 in Eureka.

His funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mackinaw United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jack Wolf will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Haensel Funeral Home, Mackinaw. Burial will be at Mackinaw Township Cemetery, with military rites provided by his post at the grave.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
