WESTON — William J. Boolman, 76, Weston, died at 8:54 a.m. Sunday (May 15, 2011) at OSF Saint James-John W. Albrecht Medical Center.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be at noon Friday at Martin Funeral Home, Pontiac, with the Rev. Tim Priest of the Assembly of God Church in Pontiac officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the hour of service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials in William’s name may be left to a charity of the donor’s choice.
William was born Nov. 7, 1934, in Bloomington, a son of William Charles and Marie Newberry Boolman. He married Patricia Minemann on July 25, 1958, in Belleville. She preceded him in death on Oct. 17, 1998. He married Louise Lawson on Nov. 6, 1999, in Pontiac.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Boolman, Weston; two sons, Tim (Carolyn) Boolman, Waynesville, and William Charles Boolman, Arkansas; four daughters, Ellen (Joe) Pape, Ellsworth; Karen Alexander, Bloomington; Sylvia (Jerry) Williams, Ellsworth; and Michelle (Terry) LeGris Jr., Weston; 19 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Boolman, Bloomington; and a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Terry and Zula LeGris.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth Boolman, and one brother, Bruce Boolman.
Mr. Boolman was educated in Bloomington schools. He served our country in the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Scott Air Force Base. He was employed at The Eureka Co. in Bloomington.
He loved playing the guitar and enjoyed playing in jam sessions in Cullom, Piper City and Colfax. Till we meet again.
