LINCOLN — Mr. William F. Webster Jr., 90, of Lincoln passed away at 5:15 a.m. Sunday (Dec. 18, 2005) at Christian Village Nursing Home, Lincoln.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Church, Lincoln, the Rev. R. Anthony Lee officiating.
No visitation is scheduled. Burial with military rites will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln.
Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or The Christian Village Nursing Home.
Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Webster is survived by his three children, Mrs. Linda (David) Buchanan and Mr. Bill (Barb Leacher) Webster, both of Lincoln; and Kathy (Kenny) Robinson of Springfield; two sisters, Mrs. Gini (Ed) Higgins of Lincoln and Mrs. Clarice Rohrer of Glendale, Ariz.; one brother, Mr. R.K. Webster of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Lincoln, lifetime member of Knights of Columbus Council 1250 for 71 years, was Third Degree Knight, and American Legion Post 263. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from CILCO as a dispatcher.
Mr. Webster graduated from St. Mary's Grade School in 1929 and Lincoln High School in 1932.
Mr. Webster was born July 20, 1915, in Lincoln, the son of William F. and Theresa Schmid Webster. He married Mildred Montgomery on March 17, 1939. She preceded him in death Oct. 25, 1993.
