DeWITT — William V. Foster, 80, of DeWitt, passed away at 3:14 a.m. Tuesday (Jan. 6, 2015) at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, with the Rev. Dan Bell officiating. Burial will follow at DeWitt Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Assembly of God Church, Clinton.
William was born Feb. 14, 1934, in Jamestown, Ky., the son of the Rev. William E. and Molly Chrisman Foster. He married Rosie C. Bradshaw on March 5, 1955.
Survivors include his wife, Rosie C. Foster, DeWitt; children, Marlena (Keith) Cahall, Jo Anne (Mark) Kimmich and Susan Foster, all of DeWitt; one sister, Rosa (R.V.) Stephens, Russell Springs, Ky.; five grandchildren, Angela Jo Hammon, William James Cahall, Valerie Renee Cahall, Justin (Angie) Kimmich, Brandon Kimmich; and two great-grandchildren, Julian Cahall and A'nya Willis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, William James Foster; two brothers; and two sisters.
William attended Assembly of God Church, Clinton, and retired from Mueller Co. in Decatur after 40 years of service. William also loved John Deere.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and techs for all of their tender and loving care during William’s illness.
